Tulip Cottage, Ballandean

Very cosy, had everything we needed and loved the baths!

It was clean and close to the pub. Parking space was good

Advised of our arrival time but didn’t receive check in instructions until an hour and a half after trying to check in. Checking in was problematic as a result as we didn’t know we had to squeeze past the water tank to access the property and get to the key. The cottage itself wasn’t signposted so it was difficult to locate. Tried ringing the owners but got no reply and couldn’t leave a message. When we did eventually access the property, we were disturbed by a person who believed he had also booked the property. This was at 10pm so it was a bit of a shock. The interior of the property is clean and warm, albeit a quirky layout with a tiny bathroom and lots of switches which didn’t seem to do anything. The exterior of the property is not very inviting with uneven paths and weeds. The location was good, within walking distance to the pub and bakery, but we felt that the cottage is overpriced for what it offers
