The location of Sancreed is beautiful. We loved the surrounding fields, the Beacon and local walks. The cottage was very warm and cosy and well equipped inside and the owners and neighbours very friendly.
We always filter dog friendly and enclosed garden when using booking.com. Unfortunately there was no enclosed garden, there is a public footpath along the side of the house and other holiday properties on the site, with no boundaries. One of our dogs is a rescue and very nervous of people, so had we known this we would not have booked. The weather was beautiful while we were there but we could not have our doors open, or sit out because the dogs would have needed to be on leads and also we had no outdoor chairs, the outside space felt a bit neglected in comparison to the house. Looking back over the photos of the property on Booking.com the photo of the garden gate and the description of "Private Garden" seem misleading. Owners were apologetic and discounted us the fee for the dogs.
