The owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful. He met us at the train station and walked us to the apartment. We would never have found it on our own. If you've been to Venice, you would understand.
The location is wonderful. It is literally about 100 m from a peaceful area with a view over the lagoon. We sat there every evening to drink our sundowners.
The apartment is on the ground floor, making it easily accessible. It is spacious (for Venice).
The second bedroom's bathroom has only a toilet and a small basin. It is adequate but note that everyone has to use the shower next to the main bedroom.
The apartment was very clean. So were the bedding and towels. It is well maintained.
The WiFi is fast and works easy and well.
There was plenty of hot water, good water pressure, a very nice shower, adequate kitchen utensils, and adequate building security. As far as we could establish, there was no safe to lock valuables away.
CasaBaia was good value for money, very clean, and has excellent location in Venice. It is literally 3 minutes' walk to Tre Archi Vaparetto station. I would stay there again if I were to visit Venice anytime soon.
Our only real criticism was that there are only 2 chairs in the apartment. Although the little kitchen is well-equipped for 4 guests, only 2 of them can sit at the table to eat. We elected to either eat at a restaurant or pack a picnic which we enjoyed outside on a bench overlooking the lagoon.
The double bed in the main bedroom is quite soft. We prefer a somewhat firmer mattress. It wasn't too bad to sleep, but perhaps may need an upgrade soon.
There is practically no shelving or wardrobe space in the second bedroom. We managed without that but it could bother some guests.
