Stunning property! Gorgeous location and had everything you could want/need. Lovely and clean and the owners left a great package of bread, milk, butter, Prosecco and drinks plus more!
Great location to travel to Towyn fair with the kids, Rhyl for the sun centre, old Colwyn beach only a 30 minute drive!
19 minute walk into Prestatyn town centre!
Not a criticism of the property but booking.coms listing is wrong! It said pet/s friendly and didn’t ask any further details so we took 2 small dogs when the property/owners only accept 1 small dog! They allowed us the booking as not our fault but just be mindful if the booking info isn’t updated!

We had a wonderful stay at Baobab Lodge in Prestatyn – this place really lives up to its 5-star billing. The lodge is beautifully presented and feels more like a home than a holiday rental. With four generous bedrooms and three bathrooms, there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax.
One standout feature was the beautiful real hard cherry wood flooring throughout – it added a real sense of quality and elegance to the space. The private entrance and large garden made it feel peaceful and tucked away, yet we still had quick access to everything we needed. The sea views were a lovely bonus, and having free WiFi throughout was a real plus.
Inside, everything was thoughtfully laid out and exceptionally well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need – including a dishwasher, washing machine, and even an air fryer – and the cosy fireplace in the living area was perfect for winding down in the evening. The dining table brought us all together for meals, and the living space was really comfortable for spending time as a group. During the day and also at night, you could hear a pin drop – it’s so quiet and peaceful.
The hosts were fantastic. They’d clearly put a lot of thought into making the experience welcoming and seamless. They left us a list of recommended restaurants and a brilliantly detailed guidebook on Wales that helped us make the most of our trip.
Baobab Lodge is an excellent base to explore North Wales, The Wirral, or even Chester Honestly, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like. It’s rare to find somewhere that combines elegance with comfort so well. We’d absolutely return.
Honestly, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Everything had been thoughtfully prepared, and the lodge was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. From the peaceful setting to the little touches provided by the hosts, it all came together to create a really relaxing stay.
