The location was perfect, so convenient while my daughter was in hospital. Only 100m walk to St Andrew’s and just round the corner from all the cafes, shops and restaurants.
The cottage has been renovated beautifully. The bed was so comfortable, honestly more comfy than my own.
The only thing I would say is if you have a big car (patrol or bigger), it may not fit in the garage. I managed to get it to fit, but very tight squeeze.
Otherwise, perfect place to stay for what I needed.
Water pressure and temperature weren’t great. I didn’t even need to turn the cold water tap on in the shower, not sure if that’s normal or if something was wrong.
Also, I think maybe for winter out a couple extra blankets (thick ones) in the bedroom, I was quite cold, but luckily brought my own.
And maybe some soap for shower and shampoo/conditioner and tissues for bathroom (the box there was empty). Just little touches.

Velvet Cottage was very comfortable and exceptionally clean, all the facilities were great.
Location was fabulous, lovely area of the city fringe. Being able to park within the property was also excellent.
We couldn't get the tv in the lounge to work but that certainly wasn't an issue and may have been an us issue!

An excellent property in a lovely area with easy access to city and surrounds. Having a car park was certainly a plus.
The pillows were too soft, no support.
