Staying chez Lea is a unique experience. The door opens onto a large kitchen with a living room/dining room to the right, and on the second and third floor there are spacious bedrooms. I loved the large windows in every room. The bathroom is quite nice with a good shower and lots of room for toiletries. We loved the location as it is within walking distance to the station as well as to Europcar, and the old town is literally right around the corner.
The major disappointment was that there were no fans in the house—vital during the summer months as there was virtually no cross ventilation. The red metal shutters are extremely difficult to open and close. We did want them open to let the light in, but it was a real struggle. Some guests might be disturbed by the street noise as well as the trains that pass by on the tracks in front of the street. There are three coffee machines, one of which I managed to operate, but there were only two capsules provided for it. There were plenty of coffee sachets for the other machine, but it was impossible for us to get it to work. The third machine was for filtered coffee, but we did not find any coffee filters. There is a room with an iron upstairs, but it takes a while to figure out how the iron works as it has a setup unlike any I have ever seen. Some of the furniture is of very shoddy quality.
