There were definitely some things we really enjoyed about our stay! The cabin felt secluded from everything, which made it very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was especially nice to come back to after a long day of hiking.
They also provided pretty much everything we needed for an extended weekend. There were plenty of clean towels for showering and separate use with the hot tub, laundry detergent so we were able to wash our clothes, dishwasher detergent, plenty of toilet paper, and pans and other basics for cooking. We also really liked having the TVs so we could relax and watch the football games. Overall, they definitely keep the cabin clean and well stocked!
I do like the cabin feeling and being away from everything and taking the extra time to drive here. Owners were very kind and instructions were very simple and easy to follow.
Overall, the comfort level wasn’t really there for us. The beds were okay, but the couch wasn’t very comfortable, and the cabin just felt like it had been heavily used over time. I know it’s a rental and obviously many people stay there, but I’ve stayed in other rentals and haven’t really gotten that same feeling.
It was also pretty musty. I understand that it’s an older cabin, and the listing does make that clear, but the bathrooms and tub especially felt very outdated and worn. Since they are upfront about it being an older stay, I can’t really complain too much about that.
Overall, if you don’t mind an older cabin or a noticeable musty smell, you probably won’t have an issue staying here. It just wasn’t quite as comfortable or fresh-feeling as we personally would have liked.
