We spent a week here over the summer with our two kids in this wonderful apartment. It was truly a memorable vacation: luxury-level comfort for both us adults and the kids at an extremely affordable price.
The Pigneto metro station, an 8-minute walk from home, took us to the Colosseum in just 4 stops—less than 10 minutes by metro. From there, we could walk to the main monuments in the historic center. Termini railway station is accessible in 15 minutes and allowed us to make amazing day trips to Viterbo and Orvieto.
The apartment itself is a total haven of relaxation and style. It was completely renovated last year and offers maximum comfort for a family at any time of day—whether you're eating, sleeping, or unwinding in the bathroom. Each room has a very powerful air conditioner with its own remote control and a smart TV. The Wi-Fi is a fiber-optic landline connection, so it offers maximum speed and stability.
With such incredible attention to detail in every single room and flawless cleanliness, it’s crystal clear that the host, Ornella, isn't just in it for the money. She genuinely cares about making sure both adults and kids have an amazing stay and thinks ahead to anticipate every single need. She gave us for free a guidebook she wrote herself in English, packed with insider tips on how to experience Rome and the ancient villages surrounding the city by saving money and time. One night, our youngest son wasn't feeling well, and Ornella didn't hesitate for a second to direct us immediately to the local children's hospital ER, where we received top-notch medical care. Ornella also provided us early check in
We had actually been to Rome three times in past years, staying in different districts, Monti, Aventino and Prati, so we have a good basis for comparison. Honestly, as far as we’re concerned, Pigneto is by far the most authentic and fun neighborhood to stay in!

Wir haben einen wunderbaren Urlaub in dieser Ferienwohnung mitten im Pigneto Viertel verbracht und könnten mit unserer Wahl nicht happier sein. Die Wohnung ist ideal auf die Bedürfnisse von Familien abgestimmt und überzeugt durch einen wettbewerbsfähigen Preis. Sie ist voll geräumig, hell und mit richtig viel G’spür eingerichtet: ein genialer Mix aus originalen Antiquitäten und modernem Equipment, der Gemütlichkeit und Funktionalität verbindet.
Für unsere Familie war es super praktisch, die tolle Ausstattung für Kinder, das schnelle Glasfaser-WLAN, die Smart-TVs in jedem Zimmer, den Trockner zusätzlich zur großen Waschmaschine, die Spülmaschine und den Elektrobackofen neben der Mikrowelle im Hause zu haben.
Wir liebten die einzigartigen Dekorationen: handbestickte Bettwäsche, doppelte Vorhänge mit Stickereien, Gemälde von Picasso, Monet und Klimt, Ansichten des antiken und des modernen Roms, beleuchtete und handgemalte Spiegeln ...
Die Sauberkeit war tipptopp und jedes kleinste Detail ist durchdacht, damit man sich vom ersten Moment an pudelwohl fühlt. Im Badezimmer haben wir Ersatzhandtücher, Hausschuhe, Haarglätter, entspannende Gesichtsmasken, Parfums und Bodylotion vorgefunden .... Die Küche war super ausgestattet, es gab alle möglichen Haushaltsgeräte, sogar eine Küchenmaschine, einen elektrischen Zitruspresser, zwei Mixer ... und drei verschiedene Kaffeeschinen – von der Espressomaschine über Filterkaffee bis hin zur italienischen Mokka. Auch Kaffee für jede Maschine, Tee, Kamillentee und Trinkschokolade wurden bereitgestellt. Im Kühlschrank warteten Limoncello, Milch und Mineralwasser auf uns ☺️
Die Lage ist absolute Spitzenklasse: Zur U-Bahn-Haltestelle Pigneto geht man gerade mal 8 Minuten zu Fuß und in nur 4 Stationen – also in unter 10 Minuten – ist man direkt am Kolosseum. Das Viertel ist super lebendig, mit einer fröhlichen und einnehmenden Stimmung.

An Exceptional Stay – A True Home Away from Home in Rome!
Our stay at Bohemian Pigneto Rhome was nothing short of exceptional. From the comfort and elegance of the apartment to its convenient location, everything contributed to a wonderful experience and made exploring the beautiful city of Rome so much easier.
The apartment offered a perfect balance of comfort, practicality, and charm, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it particularly convenient for families. Its location in the vibrant Pigneto neighbourhood was another highlight, offering an opportunity to experience a more authentic side of Rome while remaining well connected to the city's famous attractions. With the Colosseum just four metro stops away and easy access to other key areas, getting around was incredibly convenient.
A special thank you goes to Ornella, the wonderful owner, for creating such a welcoming space that genuinely felt like a home away from home. Her hospitality extended well beyond providing accommodation. She was always responsive, approachable, and happy to share helpful recommendations on things to do, places to visit, and experiences worth discovering around the city. Her thoughtful guidance made our time in Rome even more memorable.
i would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to Livia for her warm welcome and kind introduction to the property. Her hospitality made us feel comfortable and at ease from the very beginning.
It is these thoughtful personal touches, together with the excellent accommodation and convenient location, that truly set this property apart.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at BOHEMIAN PIGNETO RHOME! Traveling from U.S. to Rome with three kids can sometimes feel overwhelming, but this beautiful holiday house was an absolute haven for our family without breaking the bank !
The property is tucked away in the absolute quietest part of the vibrant Pigneto neighborhood. Supermarkets, open air food market, pharmacy and all essential shops are within 5 minutes walking distance. After long days of exploring the bustling center of Rome, coming back here felt like stepping into a peaceful, cozy retreat.
The flat overlooks a quiet street and has modern windows and a double-wall gap all around, so it’s super silent and stays at a great temperature. This is why we all slept and relaxed so soundly, something that is truly priceless when traveling with children!
The decor is charmingly bohemian and stylish with some pieces of antique furniture in Venetian style and from the late nineteenth century masterfully combined with reproductions of iconic paintings by Monet, Klimt, and Picasso. And with modern handcrafted pieces of paintings on canvases, mirrors and cushion covers, with bed sheets sewn and embroidered by hand by the host's mother and grandmother ...
The place is really full of character, while still being extremely functional. It was completely renovated last year with modern heating, air conditioning and WiFi systems.
All the major appliances are provided, including a 22 lb capacity washing machine, a dryer which is very rare in Italy, a dishwasher, a refrigerator with freezer, an electric oven and a microwave.
We’ve stayed in over 50 holiday homes in the last 10 years, but none of them have ever provided so much kitchen equipment—including three coffee makers to experience the differences between American filter coffee and the rich Italian coffee style: espresso, moka, cappuccino, caffellatte, latte macchiato.
I didn't like the fact that the holiday ended too soon ☺️
