Having traveled to Jibhi more than five times, I can confidently say that Baserah Stay & Cafe offers the absolute best views and hospitality in the entire valley. I recently visited with a group of female friends, and we had the most incredible time.
Here is why this place deserves more than 5 stars:
Amazing Hosts: Our host, Jasleen, and the staff were incredibly humble, patient, and attentive. They went the extra mile for my friend’s birthday, arranging a cake and beautiful decor in the cafe that made our night unforgettable.
Hidden Stream Trek: They organized a safe, gentle trek through a calm forest to a hidden stream. The hosts even cooked fresh noodles, pakoras, and tea on-site using fallen wood logs—a magical surprise!
Mud-Stove Pizza & Farm-to-Table: Though not on the menu, they accommodated our craving for pizza by baking it on a traditional Indian mud stove (chulha)! It was delicious. They also have an on-property farm, making the meals a true farm-to-table luxury.
Bohemian, Eco-Friendly Stay: The cottages are cozy, photogenic, and spotlessly clean. I loved their commitment to sustainability, down to using high-quality bamboo toilet paper.
Creative Cafe Vibe: The cafe features spectacular mountain views, great music, board games, and art supplies for painting, which felt incredibly meditative.
Safe for All: As a female group, we felt completely secure. The property successfully hosts everyone from solo travelers and couples to large families and elderly guests.
Baserah is incredibly photogenic, peaceful, and managed by people with pure hearts. I highly recommend it to travelers of all ages. We will definitely be back!
The roads throughout Jibhi are not in a good condition. Please consider local drivers for traveling within Jibhi. The Jibhi market should have much more spacious roads so the guests coming to this valley can travel easily.
