The staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating (two brothers and a mother, it appears). The breakfast is superb -- like a buffet brought directly to your table (there's a bit of everything!). There are two separate, neighboring buildings to this hotel. The one we stayed in was old and charming, in a fairly residential area, although very close to streets bubbling with nightlife. Overall, a good option for a few days in Istanbul.
We were on the top floor, in a space almost like an attic, which was clean and somewhat charming, but perhaps not as equipped or "lavish" as other rooms.

It was cheap, I got a bigger room than anticipated, though I would have preferred a smaller one. Kindness appreciated nevertheless. Breakfast was nice
I constantly felt like the floor is going to crash under me, maybe because it is made out of wood, I also saw a lot of paint chipped off from the wall in the room, and the floor was essentially a wood-like sticker pealing off in places. The room had two terraces, but they applied the tiles under the door in such a way that it was impossible to open.
