Complete misrepresentation

The bed was clean and comfortable but creaky

The owner contacted me after booking and told me the flat I had booked was no longer available but she had another one very close by. It was not close by but it was not in Canada Water, it was in Rotherhithe. The accommodation I booked based on the location and images available on the website were a complete misrepresentation. The TV didn't work at all, there was no heating, the walls and furniture were dirty and marked, there were metal prongs sticking out of one of the bedroom sockets. Carpets were badly stained, the carpet on the stairs was poorly fitted and stained making them unsafe to use. There was no light in the porch which made it difficult to retrieve the key from the key lock and insert the key to unlock the door. Also it was dark when I left to get dinner, I tripped on the steps because there was no light. The bathroom had several cracked tiles and a cracked bath panel. The bathroom tap was loose and could be rotated when used. I stayed for two nights, on the second night at 8pm the cleaner and handyman turned up to fix the heating and TV. It took them nearly 2 hours to fix the problem and I had to take the cleaner to the shop in my car, ( she was going to get an Uber ) to get batteries for the heating controls. The owner contacted me several times and was lovely but kept promising that someone would be round to fix the issues. I spent the first night with no heat or TV. There was no 'welcome station' to inform customers about internet access, how to switch on the heating or TV, no information on public transport links etc. This stay was a very stressful experience.

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy apartment. The host was very attentive and welcoming. The neighborhood is quiet, calm, and feels very safe. It’s also conveniently located, just two stops from Tower Bridge, London Bridge, which made getting around easy. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’m looking forward to returning soon.

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy apartment. The host was very attentive and welcoming. The neighborhood is quiet, calm, and feels very safe. It’s also conveniently located, just two stops from Tower Bridge, London Bridge, which made getting around easy. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’m looking forward to returning soon.
