Dream 3 is Not a Dream

The location and the view were incredible. The patio and balcony were also beautiful to sit and watch the sea. The interior is a different story.

We messaged the host that we were arriving by train a around 12pm and the host said that is fine, and asked us to come to the restaurant that they owned on the ground floor of the apartment and they would store our luggage until the apartment is ready. The lady at the restaurant was not very welcoming and was rushing us to take our luggage and leave until it's ready. We asked if we could have a moment to take our bathing suits out to go to the beach and she said No. We were taken back and did anyway. She has two servers at the restaurant take our luggage and we went to the beach. We went back at 3 and met Lisa who was sweet and took us up stairs to the apartment to check us in. We immediately noticed that there was a swamp cooler in the living room and asked "there is no air conditioning?" She said no but you have two fans. She also told us to empty the water daily or it will overflow. The apartment was dark, hot and outdated. Nothing like the beautiful orange building on the outside. Even the furniture was outdated and old. The bathroom was very small and the shower had a curtail that did nothing to keep water out of the bathroom. The toilet was not working properly and after multiple attempts of the plumber coming to look at it, they offered us dinner at the restaurant which was very good but didn't take away from the whole bad from arrival to departure experience. There are better places to stay in the area.

The best place to stay in Monterosso

The building was a short walk from the train station - no confusing turns to take. Lisa came out and met us when we weren't entirely sure who to see. Her explanation of features was very clear and thorough. The room was quiet - no street or restaurant noise. We could open the window and easily hear the waves breaking on the shore. It is a luxury we haven't had since we stayed in Rio. The black-out curtains were awesome! We could get the room very dark.

The air conditioning was being replaced when we were there. Fortunately with the mild temperatures, it was of little concern. It was hard to flush the toilet. I had to push the button hard-and-fast two or three times to activate it.

Fantastic view and location!

Perfect location and great view in Monterossa! Restaurant directly below for an easy lunch.

Uphill walk although relatively short - hills are the norm here.

Det lå perfekt og smukt. Personalet var super søde og hjælpsomme.

Vi savnede aircondition i soveværelset, det var varmt.

Ottima posizione, terrazza stupenda. Nel complesso bellissima camera con qualche miglioria da attuare.

Sciacquone da aggiustare, non scaricava. Ventilatori da pulire.
