Location lovely, just 20 mins walk into york, couple of local pubs away from hustle and bustle, quiet area.
Unfortunately as we were 3 couples, we had 3 cars...only 1 car park spot. Only parking permits on estate all around and no visitor parking spots. Site advertises free local parking available nearby but this is not so. Nearest parking was in Jaipur Spice car park which was only a few mins walk away but charged £7.40 for over 4 hours... per car per day...which was disappointing.
Surprised to find no dining facilities in house, looked like what used to be a dining kitchen had been boarded up and turned into a bedroom but the bed was very small (three quarters?). This meant a very small kitchen to cater for 6/7 people and nowhere to eat..we had to have food on our knees on the settee or on the low coffee table.
Beds, whilst clean, we found to be very hard and could feel the springs through them.
Could not find cooker instructions so struggled with that for a while.
