Amazing and quiet place to stay in Bairro Alto

The room is in Bairro Alto, but in a quiet street with no bars. So, very central, to access Chiado, city center, Bica, train stations to Sintra and to Cascais. At night lots of bar to have a drink, also restaurants (portuguese, chinese, indian....)

Great location, only 8 minutes walk to the metro and small convenience stores.

Sadly, needs some improvements. The lights go out which is annoying and needs fixing. The shower hose is broken and I mean seriously broken so you can’t have a shower with full water pressure or you flood the bathroom. The noise from the apartment above sounds like they’re going to come through the ceiling. Has so much potential this place

La posizione è davvero strategica e situata nel centro storico di Barrio Alto.

Nel complesso, l’esperienza è stata purtroppo molto negativa e ben al di sotto delle nostre aspettative. Il problema principale è stato un forte e persistente odore di fogna, particolarmente evidente nel bagno e che si diffondeva in tutto l’appartamento. La situazione era talmente sgradevole che abbiamo dovuto tenere la porta del bagno costantemente chiusa e, di fatto, ci siamo sentiti a disagio anche nell’utilizzare la cucina e nel mangiare all’interno dell’appartamento. Abbiamo segnalato tempestivamente il problema alla struttura, già martedì mattina, non appena ce ne siamo accorti. Successivamente abbiamo riscontrato diversi altri problemi relativi alla pulizia e alla manutenzione dell’appartamento. C’era una notevole quantità di polvere e capelli sotto e dietro il letto. Ma soprattutto, dietro il letto abbiamo trovato due involucri di preservativi aperti, appartenenti a due marche differenti. Per essere chiari, non abbiamo trovato alcun preservativo utilizzato, ma il fatto che due involucri di preservativi aperti fossero stati lasciati dietro il letto rappresenta comunque un problema molto serio dal punto di vista della pulizia e della preparazione dell’alloggio. Abbiamo anche delle fotografie che documentano quanto trovato. Abbiamo inoltre notato diverse crepe e fessurazioni sulle pareti e sul soffitto, in particolare nella zona del bagno, oltre a condizioni generali che davano l’impressione che la struttura non fosse particolarmente ben mantenuta. Anche la dotazione del bagno era insufficiente: la quantità di shampoo/gel doccia fornita era talmente limitata che è terminata dopo la prima doccia, costringendoci ad acquistarne altro. Un altro piccolo disagio, ma che personalmente ho trovato piuttosto insolito, riguarda le indicazioni presenti nel bagno sullo smaltimento della carta igienica. Era espressamente indicato che nessun tipo di carta, compresa la carta igienica, dovesse essere gettato nel WC e che dovesse invece essere smaltito nel cestino.

Purtroppo non siamo rimasti soddisfatti del monolocale. Le condizioni igieniche erano davvero pessime: appartamento pieno di polvere, bagni sporchi, lavandini otturati e asciugamani che presentavano capelli. Anche la cucina non era pulita come ci si aspetterebbe. L’unico aspetto positivo è stata la posizione, davvero comoda. Per il resto, riteniamo che l’appartamento non fosse in condizioni igieniche adeguate per essere abitato e ci siamo trovati molto male. Abbiamo dovuto pulire noi .

o quarto nao é dos piores, mas pelo preço teriamos valor de hoteis com uma diferença, a unica vantagem seria a cozinha, mas so no caso quiser ecomnomizar em fazer a propria refeição

o quarto muito quente no verao, no inverno pode ser uma opção, a escada para quem tem problemas no joelho pode ser incoveniente, para os velhotes nao aconselho.
