The shared bathroom could be a problem if the hotel were full.
The staff was excellent and so were the instructions for late arrival.

Great location, had an elevator and just 7-8 min walk to the main touristy attractions like Doge palace and St Peters Square.
Nice hot breakfast with eggs and bacon for an American tourist who is used to hot breakfasts at most ordinary hotels that was incredible because protein consumption in Italy can be challenge unless you are willing to spend > 25Euro/plate.
Our room had a canal view and could see gondolas almost all the time.
Very close to a big Piazza with a lot of shopping and restaurants.
Our bathroom was across the room which was a little strange and felt more like a hostel rather than a hotel room but it was fine at the end.

It’s a very basic hotel but it was clean and the staff were friendly. The air conditioning worked. We didn’t get a chance to check out breakfast but it’s nice that it’s included. The palace it’s in is very cool and the location is great
