Horrendous, walked in & walked straight back out!

Absolutely nothing.

If you want somewhere clean, safe & welcoming to rest at night, this is NOT the place. Despite arriving on the day to deep snow and -13 weather, #17 was the only cabin where no attempt had been made to clear the drive. We had to carry our cases in knee-deep snow, 30 feet to get to the cabin as the driveway was inaccessible for our car. When we opened the door, we were met with a really strong pungent, musty smell and my heart just sank. As we entered, the oven had been pulled out and was stood in the middle of the kitchen, water was pouring in from the window and the latch was broken. Someone clearly knew about this as there was a stack of soaking wet towels on the window cill. None of the electrical items could be used due to water damage. In the back bedroom, the water was just as bad and caused me to slip as I walked in. Again, the floor was full of soaking wet blankets to try to stop the splashing. This window and latch were also broken and the bed was wet. Freezing wind was whistling through. Despite photos showing blinds/curtains in the listing, there are NO coverings on any of the windows apart from an ill-fitting curtain in the front bedroom. There are some very large windows so you have no privacy or anywhere safe to change or leave your belongings without them being in full view, even more so at night. My daughter and I arrived in Canada from the UK on a last minute flight due to my sister receiving end of life care in Peterborough hospital for brain cancer and this has made our ordeal so much more stressful. This cabin is not as described. The cheap plastic sofa & armchairs are way too small for the size of the communal area, the dining table is just an outside patio set and wasn’t even clean. There is nothing nice to say about the place. To make matters worse we then got stuck at the top of the drive (as it’s a single path and we had no choice but to pull on).

Not great

Large space but very empty

Didn’t get the cabin I rented when I arrived switched the second day only to find blood stains in the shower and in toilet
