Too much of a Liability to stay at this property

The location on the beachfront

The elevator was down. I had my elderly dad, who has dementia and limited mobility (uses wheelchair) with us. When we arrived, the elevator was down. Multiple people informed us that the elevator is non-functional a majority of the time. Prior to booking - I asked if there was an elevator and was informed yes. The staff states that they would put an emergency order in to have fixed; states that the property manager was off and there was nothing she could do . It took 45 minutes or longer with other guests witnessing us trying to get my dad up 3 flights of stairs. We called, left messages and emails with no response one for over 24 hours and had no choice but to find another place to stay at the last minute. To come back down those flights, my dad was terrified and had to make a “chair” using 3 people to get him back down. Booking.com, the rental company nor the property management want to accept responsibility

Overall, great stay. May attempt return for fall fishing season.

Location is great. Great view. Overlooking the beach. Could walk to Publix grocery store if I wanted.

Bed and bed linens could use an update. Needs curtains for bedroom windows(Nothing wrong with sleeping in while on vacation). Elevator is advertised but it is, I believe, on the far opposite end of the bldg. High or low chairs for balcony, current seats level is at perfect height for balcony beam blocked view of ocean.
