The hotel is in a very old renovated Chinese building. Very esthetic and authentic. The bed is super comfy and the shower is hot with great water pressure. The staff is super helpful with very little English and a lot of Google translate. They arranged luggage transfer without a hitch.
The location is outside the Yunnan Nationalities village...and close to Dan Chi lake. This means it about 35 minutes by taxi to Kunming center. This was a bit inconvenient. Better to be in the center and go to these locations if desired.

This hotel has so much character, with its traditional architecture and cultural style. What impressed us most was the service—the team was attentive and kind, making sure everything was perfect for our trip.

We loved the location near the Yunnan Nationalities Village, so wonderful quiet, very friendly and helpful staff and the location itself, a traditional compound but modern rooms and facilities which serves all one need, the commitment and love to details and tradition. After our day tours we welcomed the peace and the charm of this hotel and its exceptional beds. Enjoy your tee in one of the many patios in this hotel compound, feeling the Chinese history with its many stories never told. A touch of home far away from home.
