The location is great and everything was clean.
It was hard to tell who works there unless they were behind the desk or acknowledges you first because they’re in casual clothes but it was my first time at a hostel so it was unique to say the least!
The locker areas were tight. For perspective you can’t really be in your locker or opening your luggage if somebody is trying to pass by.
I stayed two nights and I never got a fresh set of towels for the second day- I guess I just had to ask? I happened to have a fresh towel I bought from an onsen so I didn’t really look into the procedure but that was a bit ambiguous.

"The location is excellent — right above Beppu Tower and very convenient for getting around the city. Even though it’s a mixed dormitory, all the guests were very respectful and quiet, so I had a reall..."
