The room was a good size, with three beds, and it was very clean, although the furnishings and overall interior were starting to feel a little outdated. The beds were comfortable, and the linens and towels were good quality. There was limited storage space, with only one rack with hangers, but this was manageable for a short stay.
The kitchen was shared with other guests, but it was well equipped with everything needed for a short stay. Plenty of coffee pods and tea bags were available for guests, and there was also a washer and dryer available to use.
The location was excellent, within a short walk of shops and restaurants and Praia da Rainha. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the air conditioning was effective. Our room was on the first floor and faced a small backyard area with a few coffee tables and chairs.
Unfortunately, one issue significantly affected our stay. There was a strong and persistent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, similar to the smell you sometimes encounter in old public washrooms. In addition, the bathroom ventilation appeared to vent directly into the room, which made the problem worse. Because the smell was present throughout our stay, it made the room much less comfortable than it otherwise would have been.
Without this issue, the accommodation would have been a good option because of its cleanliness, convenient location, and useful amenities.

The family room we had was very spacious, the staff were great. Excellent location, a short wander to the beach for a swim every morning!

Location was good
* We had booked a double room suite. Instead we got a single room with 1 double and 2 single beds.
* When we entered the room, it smelled like laundry and it appeared the bed linnen was still a bit humid.
* On both single beds it appeared that several ants had found their way to the bed as well. That was awful so we had to take off the bed linnen, bring it outside to get rid of the ants and make up the beds again.
* Last but not least, everywhere in room and in bathroom there was hair on the floor from either previous guests or from cleaning staff. Anyway, disgusting.
