Total fiasco
We were not even able to access the property.
The agent sent us a code to access the smart lock. But nothing to access the building.
The when we arrived I sent a message to let them know whe were there.
The said someone would be there in half an hour.
After about forty minutes the cleaner arrived.
She let us in with her key, and we tested the smart lock.
It did not work.
We asked if we could have her key and she said it was the office copy so no.
Also, the apartment is not in the best part town, and was very shabby.
We had an urgent appointment that we needed to get to, so asked her if we could meet back in 40minutes and if she could see if she could get the lock working.
We went to our appointment and on the way back someone from the agency called to ask if were settled in.
I told her we couldn't get into the apartment and were on our way back to meet the cleaner there and see if the smart lock had been fixed. I also sent a text message, in case there was a mix up with the Spanish/ English translation.
We got back to the apartment and no one was there. We got into the building when someone else left and we tested the smart lock again.
Still not working.
We waited for another thirty minutes, called and messaged the agent multiple times and got no response.
Luckily we had taken our luggage with us to the appointment so after waiting in the cold and dark we found a hotel close by and booked in for the night.
Next morning we called the agent to see if would be able to access the place. Her response was that they could only send someone over at 3pm. So we had to wait 5 hours for them to let us in when we had already had to pay for a hotel.
We decided their complete lack of customer service and disregard for the inconvenience, and the crappiness of the flat was not worth it. We sent a message to say we would not be checking it.
We found an AirBnB and left it at that.
We never received any response back nor any apologies.
It sucked and the rental agent sucked even more.
