False advertising, inaccurate description. Buyer beware!

Bed was comfortable, great convenient location.

False advertising! Caveat emptor. Listing description says "LILLEHOSTS 2 in Lille offers a newly renovated apartment with air-conditioning, a private bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. Guests enjoy a city view, sofa bed, and parquet floor". This is not true. Turns out description is a generic one used for six different properties. Some have sofa beds but others do not. I booked the property because it said it had a sofa bed, only to find it did not. I had to go buy a cot and sleeping bag so I could have a place to sleep (my travel partner and I do not sleep in the same bed). Booking.com refused to refund me for this. Also, the "fully equipped" kitchen was not very. No cooking utensils. No bread knife (in France, really?!). No chef's knife, just a crappy, dull paring knife. One large pot, one skillet. Dish brush too big to fit inside the small mugs to clean them. Little corner 'table' for eating was so small that two people can't be seated at the same time without knees touching, so you have to kind of sit sideways. TV in living area is mounted so high that you get neck strain if you watch a movie. Duvet was too warm for the season, my friend woke up in the night because she was too hot (it was about 65F outside during the day but warmer inside). Very disappointing experience, with property and Booking.com

Good stay in Lille just a few things to sort out in the apartment then would be 10/10

Good location, beds comfortable, good value for money, air con was great

Noise from the bar late at night, no tin opener so had to go to the bar downstairs who let us borrow one, need more bowls, bathroom had a drain smell.

Looked great but a bit disappointing

On the face of it, this is a beautiful little apartment located in the centre of Lille. It is newly refurbished, has a very comfy bed, good quality appliances and nice tableware in the kitchen, fluffy towels, great shower, etc. This place should be a 9 at least!

However, the wifi did not work at all - tried 2 different devices multiple times (and followed the instructions!). There was a smell of damp/mould in the bathroom - it was clean and nicely renovated but still a smell somehow. Also, it's important to note that the apartment is directly above a bar so it's only possible to sleep after 2am (on a Saturday night at least) when it closes. The ear plugs provided did not help much but a nice gesture at least!
