Great location close to the water and right in the middle of everything. Check in was very easy, and the host let us check in early (very helpful!). The room was nice and clean when we arrived. The host was very attentive, checked in on us frequently, and even brought us some free bananas. Drinking water was available for free in the common area. The air conditioner was not working when we arrived, but as soon as we told the host about it, she got it fixed immediately.
Two main points: 1) I had some confusion with the host right after booking because she initially gave me inaccurate information about applying for our TCT cards (which are required for all visitors to Galapagos). We eventually got this confusion straightened out, but I think it would be really helpful to provide guests more accurate info in the future. 2) The kitchen: In the photos, there is a refrigerator in the room, but when we arrived, the refrigerator had been moved outside to the common area and it is now a shared fridge. Not a big deal, it was still easily accessible and we were able to store food in it, but it's not what the photos show. In general, the kitchen facilities are VERY basic--no cutting board, no salad bowl, no dish towel, not even any flatware (you can borrow flatware from the common area but there isn't any in the room itself). There is a single pot to cook in, but we couldn't even get water to boil in it. I think that's because the pot is not flat on the bottom and for this reason it doesn't get enough heat from the burner. We were still able to make pasta though. The good thing is that I think the host is really trying to please guests, and she went out of her way to try to make sure we were comfortable.
