Inn on Onset Bay

The breakfast was good, very spacious room a plus. Very limited parking, only a few spaces available for guests.

I like the location. The bed was very comfortable.

The double bed room is very small. There are too few parking spaces, no vending machines, or an ATM machine on the premises.

It was an interesting historic town that used to be a Victorian resort area. The people of the town were incredibly friendly and there were or several things to do such as they had a band playing one night, a cruise of the area, one or two restaurants, and several beaches where the water was warm enough to swim.

It is definitely an older hotel, and the first room they gave us was downstairs and very claustrophobic. They were kind enough to move us upstairs, where we had a decent view and caught the ocean breezes, as it was a very warm during which we stayed there.

Location was great, steps to the semi private beach

We stayed here for a short 3 day getaway. My first impression of the outside of the property was that is was nice, if a little weary looking (with one very nice sign at ground level and a relic beat up one up high that looked a little more like a motel sign), but the location was incredible with a semi private beach just steps away across the street, and short walking distance to a few restaurant options. We parked (more on this later) checked in and had a relatively pleasant check in with the desk person, who to my personal distaste, was smoking outside the front of the office. Not terrible, but not ideal if I am the business owner. She was nice enough though, but at checkout I felt like I was interrupting her. We headed upstairs to our room overlooking the patio area. The patio at a glance was a bit old and beat up looking, and could definitely use a makeover. The key cards to the room worked great, one for use in and one for power to the room lights/fixtures. Upon opening the room, the door was positioned so close to the first of the double beds that it was a little awkward getting in and out. Not terrible, but a little weird. The room looked and smelled mostly clean, though the carpet had certainly seen better days. There was an en suite sink in addition to the bathroom as well, and a microwave and small fridge, which were convenient. The bathroom was clean, but lacked a garbage pail of its own. As far as the room comfort, there was a ceiling fan and an a/c unit, both of which worked fine. The tv in room worked just fine, of a little small- but we were not there for tv anyway. BEDS and PILLOWS were one of our biggest disappointments, unfortunately; they were very firm and hard for us to get comfortable with. We prefer much softer sleeping arrangements. In terms of amenities, there wasn’t much; the office wasn’t stocked with much.
