Woolmarket House

Central location; fabulous breakfasts; friendly and informative hosts The room was huge with a dramatic timber ceiling in a Tudor merchant's house.

No light over sink for shaving; lights at bedside inadequate for reading; hard to find a place to put down a cup of tea. Despite all this, we loved this place, and these are minor irritations unless one stays longer that two days, as we did.

Wonderful stay, Paul and Paul were great hosts where nothing was too much trouble, the freshly cooked breakfast was everything we could ask for and the accompanying contenintal, fresh fruit, orange apple juice and much more were the finishing touches. We loved the Woolmarket House and it's period features, especially the the artwork that was displayed within the property. Woolmarket House is nicely situated very near to the high street and market square, the historical tour in the early evening is a must with so much to see, the history and explanations of the places of interest for us were one of the best parts of our stay, such a knowledgeable guide. Thank you Paul and Paul for a super stay.

Nothing, everything was great

Our hosts (Paul and Paul) made us feel welcome, comfortable and at home in their lovely house. The accommodation was spacious and provided so much more than a run of the mill bed and breakfast. Woolmarket House is just around the corner from the main square and a short walk to the riverside. Car parking was provided free of charge in a nearby car park which was a bonus. Highly recommend.

Paul & Paul were fantastic hosts and were so so welcoming and helpful, esp when I had to arrive without my husband and all the bags! The breakfast was spot on, and the room far beyond what you would normally expect for a B&B, the fact that it also doubles as a mini art gallery makes it even more special! The car park is a short walk and there was always space, and the quay was a short walk for nice places to eat and drink.

The bed was very hard, not a complaint as some people prefer hard beds! Just a note for others in case they might need an extra layer to sleep on. One thing the room lacked was a full length mirror, otherwise I couldn't have wished for anything else! :)
