Don’t let you fool by the fact that some parts of the property are still under construction, the room is very pleasant and comfortable. The setting near the lake gifts with a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere and elephant views if you are lucky enough. We loved to watch sunset over the lake with an elephant just on the other bank of the lake. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We also had dinner there and it was great and in enormous portions. Lastly, but most importantly, the owners are wonderful people who really make you feel at home and welcome and happy to chat and help anytime. They do everything by themselves, from veggies to brickswall and you can see their dedication. We do really want to thank for our wonderful stay and definitely recommend this property.
There are some minor issues in the bathroom, like the sink water tub in a weird position and sometimes the water pressure is a bit low. The WiFi wasn’t really working when we were there.

My favorite place to stay in Sri Lanka so far! The location is amazing, very close to the main road but in its own area with beautiful scenery. The owner is so kind! Brought us to dinner our first night and to the bus station when we left. He took the time to show us around the property and teach us all about it. The food here was also amazing! Breakfast both mornings were so good, omelette and toast one morning and string hoppers the next. His mom even made us rice and curry one night, which is the best rice and curry I’ve had so far. The room was clean, air con worked great, and had all the amenities we needed. Will definitely be staying again next time I’m in Sigiriya! If you get the chance, be sure to stay at this amazing property!

We had an amazing stay here! The staff are so lovely and accommodating. They make a wonderful breakfast and a home cooked dinner if you request which is also delicious. They have a tuktuk and would take us wherever we requested at whatever at reasonable prices. They will make you tea or coffee whenever you would like and their children are very sweet. The absolute highlight is the views of the lake where we were lucky enough to see elephants on both nights while the sun was setting. There is a path you can walk down to get closer to the lake to see the elephants swim and it is the most amazing experience (see pictures below).
The property was a little basic inside, however, extremely good value for money and all of the essentials are there. The wifi is hit and miss, however this did not impact our stay and we would definitely return.
