The apartment looks like it belongs in a fairytale setting, it is super cute. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating, and after snooping around somewhat (at least that's what it felt like) we discovered the basement with washer and another underground bar area. Still no corkscrew.... We were happy to do some laundry with the detergent provided! Yes, it's close to the train tracks, and yes they are loud - wear earplugs.
The check-in and checkout instructions were in French; I had to run it through Google translate. We could not find a decent corkscrew (very important being in the middle of wine country). There was no shampoo or shower gel.

Location for Chenoceau was great. Interesting other local areas to visit. Useful boulangerie just down the road.
Fascinating place, lots of room. excellent self-catering facilities. Very comfortable.
Reasonable parking available.
Very responsive to any queries.
Wasn't expecting it to be on a main road, near train track, but this didn't especially affect our stay, so not a problem.
Would have preferred to park on the drive/ramp to house.
Patio umbrella was a little 'fragile' and didn't quite work properly.
Would have liked bedside lamps.
