The hotel itself was super nice and cute with traditional Chinese architecture. The bed was very comfortable, the rooms very clean and the location was very convenient to go to the city center. The host was very friendly and helpful. We stayed only one night but we wished to have stayed much longer!

The location is excellent- walk in any direction and you are somewhere interesting. The historic canal right outside the door is a great way to reset. The neighbourhood is authentic and also very manageable and easy for tourists. The Shuangta Market at the corner has local crafts and great fresh vegetables and food, and is a handy ride-hailing location, right beside the corner market that sells beer. There is even a cobbler in the next block. There is a Starbucks 600 m. away.
The quality of workmanship on the property is lovely, and the quality of the fixtures. The kitchen came in handy and we figured out how to use the washer and dryer. Laundry soap is provided and there are dishes, etc. The reading room was lovely as well. We ate outside in our private courtyard every morning.

The room we stayed in was large and comfortable and the view onto the courtyard was very soothing. having a way to do laundry was really helpful too. Elegant. The covered market traditional snack mall nearby is amaazing. The neighborhood is sweet and canal-life.
We were there during a typhoon. There was too much rain! It has nothing to do with the guest house.
