My stay in Velia Relais was honestly great for my first visit to Rome. The staff member I worked with was particularly helpful with checking in, with clear explanations about everything and how to access the building.
The room I booked (Economy Double Room Single Use) was great, especially as a solo traveler. The bed was comfortable, the room and restroom were clean when I arrived, and I appreciated the coffee machine. I would highly recommend Velia Relais.

I loved this hotel! It was one of several inside a building in Rome, and it was on the top floor (there is an elevator that fits two people). Our window faced a small courtyard and when I say it was quiet, I mean we closed the door to our room and it was silent. Perfect for curing jet lag. We stayed for 4 nights and had no problems. They even refilled a bottle of cold water for us each day so we had a freshly hydrated start.
I felt very good about the bed and bathroom setup. There were places to set our open suitcases, though admittedly we had only carryon-sized luggage.
My only knock against the hotel isn’t even that bad. The recommendations for services from the hotel were not great. We followed 3 of their recommendations and only one of them was good, but we could have found Regoli on our own since it’s TikTok famous.
Overall it was a wonderful experience and a great first hotel for our 2 week trip.

We loved it here! Safe and clean. Definitely recommend. Feels like the true Italian experience. Super close walk to Monti- great restaurants and shopping nearby. All the sights are a walkable distance away. The hotel staff arranged our airport drop off seamlessly which made everything much easier!

Lovely clean room with and nice size bathroom and very, very good air-con. Good walking distance from attractions in Rome in a nice area. We felt safe and there’s a local supermarket and pharmacy nearby, bars and restaurants and ice-cream shops. Staff were super helpful and friendly. It could be confusing to find it initially but you get sent picture instructions of how to get in. It was nice and quiet, didn’t hear any other guests whilst we stayed there. They had a fridge and access to a water fountain. Very pleased!
