Step into the Art Nouveau sunroom of this period apartment and simply soak up its vintage style and warm character. Surrounded by extraordinary windows—some frosted for privacy, others featuring stained glass—along with huge houseplants and antique furnishings, it’s a striking space. Read on the sofa or linger over coffee at the dining table in the morning light. Overlooking a lush garden, it’s certainly the highlight of the home. But there’s plenty more to love about this place. Small but perfectly functional, the kitchen opens onto a hallway and a cozy TV room with its own dining table. The charming master bedroom is beautifully decorated, with plenty of storage and a desk, while the second bedroom, which has an en suite bathroom, features its own desk and a fabulous tiled floor. There’s even the option of adding a crib if you’re traveling as a family. With such easy access to the city from this location, you’ll be surprised by how peaceful and quiet it is—yet it’s surrounded by excellent shops and restaurants and is just a fifteen-minute walk from the Colosseum.

This is a lovely, comfortable apartment on a quiet street in a busy corner of Rome that I'd never stayed in before. It couldn't be more convenient for moving around the city, however. Manzoni station is the briefest walk away, where you can catch the Metro, bus or tram. The host is most gracious and responsive; the entire experience was delightful. I'd recommend it to anyone.
