Underwhelming as too many basic requirements, even for a relatively low price, have been neglected.

Great location and good size. Good that it was pet friendly.

Air-conditioner did not blow cold air (probably needs regassing). We were luck that it wasn't as hot as normal in Bright, otherwise it would have made for a very unpleasant stay. As it was, we had to ask for a fan (which was provided). Combination for key lock box was incorrect and only stumbled across correct one by accident. Ditto for wireless password.

Property needs a thorough clean! Mould in the shower (tiles), dirty cushions on the sofa’s, stains on the single doona’s, carpet needs replacing or at a minimum to be steam cleaned.

It looked like there was mold growing on the corner of the kitchen and the place smelt a bit like wet gym clothes when you first go in.

I would certainly book this home again dispite the issues mentioned.

The location was great and the layout of the home was great. The bedrooms are a good size and the living areas are roomy for a family of 4. Comfortable furniture, good heating. The kitchen was mostly well-equipped.

There was no chopping board in the kitchen which was a pain. The pressure of the tap in the kitchen is too high and you can't rinse anything or wash without water spraying everywhere. The hotplate wasn't very effective (I needed 2 big burners going at once and waited 40 mins for the water to boil for one of them, it didn't boil and I needed to swap it to the other burner). The power pole outside the home on the road is across the driveway which made it difficult to reverse out of the driveway (I don't expect much can be done about that though). I think the lockbox for the keys may need replacing, when trying to spin one dial for the code, all would spin which meant you need to hold the other dials with one finger while setting the subsequent ones. Some of these could be very easily fixed an would not cost much at all.

AMAZING. First time in Bright. We will definitely be back. Loved Acorn Lodge. Perfect for our family plus dog 😃

The proximity to the main shopping strip and local Bright walks all within a stones throw!

The bulb in the hallway didn’t work.

Exceptional

Perfect accommodation for a family of 4 adults or 2 adults and children. Good heating facilities (we visited in winter), good kitchen facilities and clean home.

There were no toiletries - however the host explained where to access these.

Warm and comfortable accommodation in a handy location

Excellent location within very close walking distance to the centre of town. Very comfortable and warm. Host was most helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

A couple of extra glasses would be handy

Quaint, comfy and well priced being close to town.

Easy walk to town. Secluded and quiet from traffic. The bed was super comfy.

The outside facilities were unkempt and while the house was dated, it provided everything we needed.

Excellent value for money in a well equipped house, conveniently located to central Bright.

Excellent location within walking distance of main shopping an cafes etc.

The interior is now vert dated, and hot water pressure very low compared to the exceedingly high cold water pressure whicj tended to splash everywhere as it jetted out. Judging the balance for a shower was a real test.

With all things considered it was a very comfortable stay

Location of house, the beds the living room TV all of a very good standard

The electric jug needs to be replaced very few condiments in the pantry and fridge and cleaning products were almost empty

Great location and nice property but needs new flooring, a chopping board, hand soap and guest to be told bin day.

Great location walking distance to shops and rail trail.

Smelt like wet dog. Carpet very dirty. Outside bin was full and we missed bin day because we didn’t know what day it was. No hand soap (we bought 2 and left them there for next guest). No chopping board.

The positives far outweigh the negatives.

The place was nicely equipped. The bed was comfortable. The location was within walking distance of eateries, shops and the bike path.

We were warned, but the wifi connection was completely absent for 2 days of our stay. Disappointing. The place smelled of wet dog. It took some time and a considerable amount of room deodouriser to get used to the smell. The carpet needs replacing or removing as this is probably the origin of the odour.

Location, Location, Location........perfectly placed with just a short walk to the town centre and easy access to all roads. The unit is quite cosy and heating was more than suffice

Hot water in kitchen was effectively non existent and not much better in the bathroom. Property had not been thoroughly cleaned before arrival.

VERY DISAPPOINT

Location was good. Close to centre.

Lodge was very STINKY. As soon as we entered the lodge, very strong smell drives us out. Carpet is VERY DIRTY, all the cutlery are also very dirty. It is not in state of welcoming any guest. After 2 years of lockdown we are expecting for this trip, however due too poor condition of the lodge we feel very disappointed.

The carpet was really grubby the water pressure was bad the back yard was unusable The lighting was very bad Needs a refurbish stuck in the 80 But the beds were very comfortable

Winter stay

Plenty of heating, comfortable beds and quality linen. Great location. Owners quickly came to resolve an internet issue. Netflix and DVD’s supplied. Outside areas well maintained with outdoor setting.

There were areas that weren’t cleaned and carpets need attention. Could do with some more crockery. Disappointed there was no wood or lighting materials for the fire pit.
