A genuine old English Inn with a large and comfortable room. Very good food and very hospitable and service minded personnel. Short distance to the South West Coast Path and Exmoor.
When arriving we were a little puzzled and alarmed when we saw scaffolding on the walls towards the garden and the road from the west. The place looked almost closed. However, when inside we were assured that there would be no noice in our room nor much in other areas either. This proved right.

Amazing location and great potential, nice evening meal which was value for money.
Staff did not appear to be organised or that friendly. Lack of available choice for food…limited availability of meal menu despite mid week. After a long walk no scones for tea. Very noisy room as above kitchen and uncomfortable bed.
