If you want the getaway feel but still in the middle of the city, this is the perfect location.

Lovely quiet garden setting, good breakfast with fruit and eggs, noodle soup and coffee machine. Nice pool setting. Staff able to book the train to Vang Vieng, arrange pick up on the day.
Bit of a walk to old town for huge number of restaurants unless wanting to dine at 5 star hotels across the road or the chicken restaurant a short walk. We didn't mind the 1km walk, especially after eating but others might want to be closer to old town.

The staff were very friendly. The rooms were very clean good location.
A few mosquitoes around, but understandable because there’s a lot of Green in the area
The floor got a bit slippery because it rained a few times

Nice pool, and the plants surrounding the pool were nice too.
Everything is plastic. And staff are unprofessional.
