Started off distasteful but for one night I’m glad we did not need to extend
Beautiful night views over the city
The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable, and pleasant, and we enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, the booking and check-in process left a lot to be desired.
After confirming the booking and providing all the required information, I knew I would only be arriving a little later. I therefore made sure the booking clearly indicated that my partner would be checking in before me. Despite this, she was left waiting outside while security tried to verify the booking because they were unaware of our reservation. It also appeared that the host had not communicated the check-in details, even though the booking confirmation clearly stated who would be arriving first. This created unnecessary stress and could have been easily avoided with better communication.
A couple of suggestions for the host:
* The mop kept on the balcony should either be cleaned or replaced. It had an unpleasant odour and appeared to have been used to clean the unit shortly before our arrival.
* Consider mounting the TV on a swivel bracket. As this is essentially a hotel-style room, being able to watch comfortably from both the bed and the couch would greatly improve the guest experience.
Overall, the accommodation was good, but the communication and check-in process definitely need improvement.
