We really loved the location and the beautiful views from the property. The large windows overlooking the landscape were a highlight, and the room was comfortable. The property has a lot of potential and is a lovely place to enjoy Apollo Bay.
The house was cold when we arrived, which was disappointing considering we stayed during winter. As there were other guests staying, having the fire prepared would have made the house much more welcoming.
The cleanliness of the shared areas could also be improved. The room was generally fine, but the bathroom and windows could have been cleaner as well.
The communication with the hosts was the most disappointing part. The check-in instructions were not very clear as they could be, so we had to contact them. When I explained that I couldn’t hear them properly on the phone, I was told to “get a better phone,” which I found quite rude and inappropriate. Clearer instructions and more friendly communication would have made a big difference.
