A Warm Welcome in the Cold of Nuwara Eliya ❤️
Our stay at Grand Nauro Villa was made truly special by our wonderful host, Sriyani, who welcomed us with the warmest smile.
At first glance, the room may not feel like a conventional hotel room, but once you experience the overall vibe of the villa and, more importantly, Sriyani’s incredible hospitality, you quickly feel at home. After arriving in the chilly weather of Nuwara Eliya, her warm welcome was exactly what we needed.
Sriyani greeted us with a lovely cup of warm tea and some light snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch. We stayed at Grand Nauro Villa for two days, and throughout our stay, she made sure we had everything we needed and was always there with a smile whenever we needed anything.
What really stood out was the genuine warmth and personal touch she brought to our stay. It didn’t feel like we were simply staying at a property—it felt like we were being welcomed into someone’s home.
The only thing I’m genuinely gutted about is that we somehow never managed to get a selfie with Sriyani! 😄 Hopefully, this review brings her even more wonderful guests, because she absolutely deserves it. And who knows, maybe we’ll get another chance to visit Nuwara Eliya and finally get that selfie!

I can definitely recommend this hotel! It features a beautiful house, comfortable beds, and very nice staff. The breakfast has a wonderful variety, offering good value for money.

Die Besitzer sind super herzlich, es gab gutes Frühstück und man ist schnell zu Fuß im Zentrum.
Die Zimmer sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen und es war nicht besonders sauber. Am unangenehmsten ist der sehr dreckige Teppichboden im Zimmer aufgefallen. Der Wasserdruck der Dusche war so niedrig, dass man sich die Haare kaum waschen konnte. Es gab zudem nur je ein kleines Handtuch pro Person. Versprochene Ausstattung wie Föhn, Shampoo etc waren vorhanden, aber nicht nutzbar durch schlechte Qualität.
