About this house rental
Oceanfront 3BR/3BA retreat where the road ends in Boothbay Harbor. Enjoy stunning harbor views, a private dock, and a large covered porch perfect for relaxing. Spacious living room with cathedral ceilings, separate dining room, and a grassy lawn that gently slopes to the water. Walk to the iconic footbridge, restaurants, and shops. Ideal for families or friends looking for a peaceful waterfront escape with walkable access to downtown Boothbay.
House Rules & Helpful Info
-Trash & Recycling: Please remove all trash, including any food left in the fridge, and place bagged trash in the outdoor bins.
-Recycling does not need to be sorted, except for bottles and cans that are refundable in Maine. These can be set aside—feel free to return them to a local redemption center, or housekeeping will collect them.
-No Smoking: Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside or outside on the property.
-No Fireworks: Fireworks are strictly prohibited on the premises.
-Damage Policy: Accidents happen—please report any damage promptly so we can address it quickly. The Damage Waiver covers unintentional damage to the property and its contents up to $1500, provided damages are reported to Ohana Vacations before check-out. (Airbnb reservations excluded)
-Starter Pack: Ohana provides a starter supply of essentials (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.). Guests are responsible for replenishing the following items as needed.

-Spices & condiments
-Mosquito/tick repellent
-Personal hygiene items
-Sunscreen
-Beach towels
Grill Use: If a grill is available, please do not move it and keep it 5–10 feet from the house at all times. Kindly clean the grill after each use.
If propane runs out, please contact Ohana customer service for a replacement.
Private Wells & Septic Systems: Some of our homes use private wells and septic systems.
-Please: Flush only toilet paper—no wipes, feminine products, or other items.
-Avoid driving on the lawn, as pipes run underground.
-Be mindful of water usage.

The home was very nice and had a beautiful view of the bay. The sunsets were gorgeous. The home is old with charter which is fine but could use a good airing out or air freshener, had a smell to it. We loved the location! The only problem we had was the home did not have central air (this needs to be explained in the description). They use window air conditioners, which is fine if they are in the windows. I realize that we were at the beginning of the season but the upstairs rooms got very warm by evening. I did reach out to management but by the time they could send someone out we would be leaving. Would stay again. Bring soap/shampoo and a blow dryer if you use one.

The view from this property was amazing! When the weather was nice, we used the porch for coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings. We’d rush back to catch the sunset each evening! The setting was perfect! The local property manager was very helpful and responsive when I made a request for towels (1 towel and washcloth was provided per person for our 12 day stay) and dish towels. She actually provided fresh towels and laundered the used ones, which was wonderful. I suggested that the listing be updated, as the king sized bedroom required climbing steps. One queen sized bedroom was accessible, but the other required a lot of stair climbing. The property could be a showplace with some updating, but the view made up for that. The kitchen was small and needed more of everything since six people can easily sleep here. We found ourselves washing dishes quite a bit. We would definitely stay here again.
