It was our first time in Luxor, my husband and I decided to stay on the West Bank of the Nile and stayed in Carter House, a hidden jewel on the desert. Linda, Hussein and Haggag were amazing. They helped us organize our 4 day stay with them and it was wonderful. They made us feel as part of the family. The room is spacious, the bed was great and it feels like being at home egyptian style. Breakfast and dinner were delicous. You could eat on the terrace overlooking the Valley of the kings were the sunset is beautiful and If you are an early bird you will have an spectacular view of the hot air balloons lifting up in the early morning while you have your coffee ! It is the perfect place to stay when visiting Valley of the kings and it is super close to where the hot air balloons take off. We wanted to go on a feluqa ride and they arranged that for us taking us down to the port and picking us up afterwards, took us to a lovely little cafe in the village and arranged for us to go horseback riding which was AMAZING, the stables being just 5 minutes away by foot or If you prefer they can come pick you up directly to the front door ! Howard Carter's house/museum is just accross the street. Highly recommend coming here. We encourage you to come to Egypt, even though there is War in the Middle East, Egypt is not impacted in any way and there are no issues about safety. We have been here for more than 10 days and everything is normal and safe at all times. We are posting this on March 2026. Thank you Linda, Hussein and Haggag for makng this trip unforgettable.
