・私の外国語が拙くても難色を示されなかった
・エレベーターが良い匂い
・アップグレードした朝食のお茶を全部飲む前に下げられた。まるで退席を促されるかのような素振りだった。
・Wi-Fiやプールの時間帯、朝食のシステムなどホテルの全ての利用方法や地図が書かれたプリントを一枚部屋に置いて欲しかった
・備え付けのアイロンを使ったらスチームの穴から砂が吹き出した。不衛生なので定期的にチェックすべき。

The most beautiful hotel in Shanghai! The design was wonderfully done! Detail in every corner of the hotel is beautiful! Attention to detail level is 10/10. I don’t know who did their design. Big admiration! Great job!
The late breakfast option is excellent! It is worth the extra money to pay at the desk! It was 400RMB per day I believe. The restaurant is beautiful. The food is impeccable, from high end fancy French pastries to eastern Shanghainese dishes, soup dumplings, noodles… It would be better if you go with friends, otherwise in my case solo traveler you can’t really explore much and you will be full… I wanted to try the fresh fruit but I am so full to the max already. So I didn’t have the chance. They were really kind to give me smaller portions, the staff was really thoughtful and kind!
I did not like the smell of the bed. The duvet on the bed is down-filled. I did not sleep well in this beautiful room.

The hotel is new with high quality amenities
Access by car was not easy, hard to find the hotel entrance.
Nobody helped to manage the traffic in front of the hotel entrance, nor with the luggage.
The service especially the reception desk was very unprofessional.
When I responded to the hotel a few days before arrival with estimated arrival time and a request of adding breakfast, I received an "out of the office" auto-response. I have stayed at hotels around the world, it was the first time to see this type of message from a Reservation Manager.
When I asked them to add breakfast (as they had missed this request due to out of office), the lady at the reception desk asked me to pay in advance, although the deposit that I had put down was far more than enough to cover the cost of breakfast.
At the time of checkout, I was told that the breakfast was complementary, offered by the manager, with no explanation.
This was not the first time that I stayed at Waldolf Astoria. This one at Qiantan may have 5-star facilities, but is lack of equivalent service.
Overall it was a disappointing and unpleasant stay.
