Atlantis Lodge

Lodge is a great place for a relaxing vacation. Room was very clean. AC was working great. There is no restaurant onsite, but our room had a kitchenette. We chose to visit one of many close establishments for food. One great standout was the 4 Corners Diner. Very close and the staff and food were wonderful. The purpose of our vacation was to go to on the Morehead City Ferry Starfish Tour - which was also wonderful. The lodge was about 10 minutes from the tour. The best feature of the lodge, besides the great cleanliness, was the private beachfront. There were chairs and umbrellas set up for guests. All you needed to do was bring your towel and plop down. Or enjoy the view from your balcony. Was a great relaxing vacation.

Queen suite on ground floor with direct patio opening. The sea could be seen from that ground level room, this was my first surprise. Everything clean and comfortable. Excellent location with very well maintained environment. Lots of birds on the feeders and in the baths. Quiet rooms (apart from crickets, birds, and the sea). The pool is very nice, the surrounding area cool and shady. The common lounge room has great views, it is carpeted, and has board games, books, table tennis etc. Nostalgic, good-old-times vibe, this is not a "hotel". Advice: if you are afraid of dogs, don't come here. However, if you are just not particularly fond of dogs, like me, don't let that deter you. They have "no pets" rooms and "dog friendly" rooms, but I wasn't aware of this when I booked my stay. I covered the sofa in my "dog friendly" room with an extra towel just for my peace of mind - I don't like ANY dog hair on my clothes and belongings - but it was probably unnecessary, the room was very clean indeed. The dogs were all very well behaved - the place has quite strict rules and the many people who indeed keep returning for years (decades) do make sure that their pets are well controlled and everyone has a good time. What I needed was a safe bed for a beach night before I could watch a sunrise and have a morning swim. What I got was a lovely room with a view, a barefoot grassy ground level direct access to the beach and the sunrise, a sunbed and an umbrella, a shady pool I could still use after checkout - and lovely people who welcomed me. Special thanks for the ample amount of clean extra towels in the room!!!

Maybe I just couldn't find them but a pair of kitchen scissors would have been very helpful. (A knife from the otherwise very well stocked drawers and cabinets solved the problems though.)

Me encantó que las habitaciones eran como un apartamento tipo estudio con una pequeña cocina, utensilios, microondas y dos refrigeradores, además de una mesa para 4 personas un sofá, a/c tipo split y vista al mar o al patio- jardín con salida directa a la playa. También tiene un amplio salón con mesas de pool, ping pong, cartas, Tv , biblioteca, etc.

Hay demasiada sombra en la piscina debido a los arbustos me encantan que cubran las mesas pero no tanto en el agua.
