This was a self-catering cottage about halfway between Stromness and Kirkwall, Orkney. The location was ideal for exploring those two towns and also the World Heritage and other historic sights on West Mainland. It could accommodate five guests but our party was four, which was a more comfortable number, we thought. A car is essential. The nearest shop is about a mile away. It sells a good selection of foodstuffs and other goods. The cottage is well placed beside a good road but is not adversely affected by traffic noise and and is surounded on three sides by farmland.

The property was absolutely immaculate and had everything that we needed. The location was fantastic. We were roughly 15 minutes from Kirkwall and the same to Stormness!
The beds were really comfortable and the living space was perfect. The views are absolutely out of this world and we were so lucky to have come when there was lambs dancing in the field right outside the window. We wanted to take a Lamb home with us because they were so adorable.
