The host, Martine, was so kind and picked us up from the train station because we arrived on the day of an event and the taxis we contacted were not available. The unit was exactly as advertised and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We were astounded at the view from the windows overlooking the town and vineyards!

I stayed at L’Escale Bigaroux which is a very beautiful place indeed with marvellous views across the lovely medieval town of St. Emilion. The 14th century building retains many original features and has some very tasteful and respectful installations including an excellent kitchen, fantastically luxurious king size bed and probably the best shower in the universe! Martine is very friendly and welcoming and she communicates very well. The check in and check out was very straightforward and I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. When I left, I wished I’d reserved a week instead of just one night!

This room / apartment was perfect for the two of us! It was exactly as shown, but even better. The appliances were high-end, clean, and new. The location is perfectly located in town. The hostess was quick to respond to any questions prior to check in. Just remember, it’s an old town full of narrow, cobblestone streets and walkways. You will have an uphill trek to the location, but nothing crazy.
