We stayed at Kyna Backwater Resort for two days to retreat from our hectic travel schedule for a while. We enjoyed this place so much that we extended our stay for another two days. Our room was spacious, tastefully furnished, and beautifully appointed. The peaceful surroundings and sitting by the edge of the lagoon when the sun goes down is a truly magical experience. Especially Vishnu, but also the rest of the staff made our stay special. By the end, we felt like one big family, and it was difficult to leave. We certainly will return if we have a chance in the future.
The magic of Kyna Backwater Resort is its location. However, this also means there are no shops nearby, so you should be prepared if you have any special needs. This also applies to alcohol. This is no party place, but if you enjoy a glass of wine with your sunset, you will have to bring your own bottle.
