Nice host. The space is beautiful. Lots of natural light and open spaces. Location just outside the regular beach area but overall great connectivity to the beach in a few mins, but still nestled around greenery.
Not a deal breaker in any way but the washrooms are shared.

Bakamuna is a special find for me in this area for which I was very lucky to come across. I extended my stay because I got sooo comfortable here!
The room and the house facilities are far beyond expectations and what you pay for. The host, Nigel is truly one of the most considerate people out there– he’s a natural at making you feel right at home. He’s really thought about everything a traveller/remote worker could need and placed it right here. While Hiriketiya beach area is quite commercial, this place didn’t feel transactional at all. The staff and neighbours were so caring towards me. I recommend having a scooter to get to the town quickly but its not a bad walk either. But if you’re a remote worker wanting a long term stay, book this right away.

A modern and beautiful homey villa run by the sweetest host. Feels like home away from home. Every detail of the property is thought through, it’s clean and it has all the facilities you could possible need.
