We were going to a wedding taking place over several days in the farms of Chhattarpur so this was a perfect location. However, it takes an extremely long time in traffic to get into central Delhi so I wouldn’t recommend this if you are doing general sightseeing. Lovely staff around the hotel, particularly at breakfast, which was delicious!
Firstly, we were charged 2,500 rupees (£20) more than the price quoted on booking.com. The hotel said that the price on booking.com is wrong because they don’t add enough tax. We are trying to get this back from booking.com as we are now out of pocket.
Secondly, we realised a few days before arriving that the pool is unfortunately not yet open, which was disappointing as it’s perfect weather right now and a pool day would have been lovely. It does seem that the pool is actually ready (minus sunbeds etc) but we saw several wedding events taking place in that area over the few days, so I imagine they are keeping it closed over wedding season to keep it bookable for events.
Finally, we stayed in a standard room, which we didn’t realise had only a view of next door’s wall (see picture). You can see a lovely view behind the room but you have to stand right at the window. Apparently, a superior king room has a view but standard doesn’t.
