Nous avons passé 9 jours à Mare Magnum et ce fut que du bonheur.
L’emplacement est vraiment idéal : Vous voulez visiter Naples, Sorrente, Pompéi, Herculanum, la gare EAV est à moins de 5 minutes. Une croisière à Capri ou sur la côte amalfitaine, vous pouvez embarquer directement depuis le port. Pour Paestum, l’autre gare de Trainline est à moins de 10 minutes.
Castellamare Di Stabia n’est pas une ville surfaite uniquement peuplée de touristes mais une ville italienne authentique. Que ce soit en ville ou sur la promenade en bord de mer, vous vivez au milieu de la population locale. Le matin, depuis votre balcon, vous les voyez faire leur jogging. Quel plaisir, en soirée, lorsque toute la ville s’anime, de se promener au milieu des familles et des jeunes qui se retrouvent sur la longue mare dans une atmosphère estivale et chaleureuse.
La chambre est située face à la mer dans un bel immeuble traditionnel rénové. Depuis le balcon, vous pouvez admirer le Vésuve et de splendides coucher de soleil (nous étions aussi aux premières loges pour le magnifique feu d’artifice). Tout est parfait, tout est neuf : la chambre est lumineuse, un grand lit, une douche à l’italienne … On se sent très vite chez soi.
Il faut dire que Monsieur Ferdinando, fait tout pour rendre votre séjour agréable. À la fois discret et attentionné, il s’inquiète avec gentillesse de savoir régulièrement si tout va bien. Nous avons eu le plaisir aussi de rencontrer Madame, ce sont tous les deux de « belles personnes » en qui on a tout de suite confiance.
Encore un grand merci pour votre accueil et ses vacances exceptionnelles.

The location was perfect,beautiful sea views and central to restaurants and shops. The host Ferdinando was very kind as the night we arrived was a huge firework display with lots of traffic and our car couldn’t get through, he came to meet us and walked us to the apartment so kind.

We reached the accommodation by bus. The bus stop where we got off was a little further away, so we had to walk to the property. Later, we discovered that there is actually a train station only about a five-minute walk away, which was very convenient.
The owner, Ferdinando, is an exceptional person. He was incredibly helpful, very attentive to every detail, and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay.
The entrance to the property is through a large green gate. We were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco, as it was Ferragosto, which was a lovely touch. The accommodation is located on the third floor of a four-story building, and there is an elevator. The property includes three studio-style apartments.
The building has an inner courtyard, while the balconies overlook the sea. The view from the balcony is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth enjoying with a glass of Prosecco on the terrace. The room exceeded our expectations by far.
Breakfast is served at the Nobile restaurant, located directly below the accommodation. It includes a coffee or cappuccino, a glass of water, and a cornetto of your choice from several different varieties.
The location is excellent, very close to the Cassa Armonica, the train station, and the marina.
For those planning to travel around the area, getting to Naples is easy by train from the nearby station, using Line 1. To reach Sorrento, you can take Line 2.
You can also take a ferry to Capri or along the Amalfi Coast from the marina, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the accommodation. Tickets can be purchased online through NLG or at the ticket office in the port. A round-trip ticket costs approximately €50. One important thing to keep in mind is that the ticket office closes at around 9:00 a.m., so it is advisable to arrive at the port early if you plan to take one of the boats.
As for restaurants, we 100% recommend Concetto Partenopeo. We had, without exaggeration, the best pizza of our lives there.
We slept with the windows closed because we are quite sensitive to outside noise. Fortunately, the room has very good sound insulation, so this was not a problem.
The only minor downside for us was that the room tended to become quite warm during the night, with the temperature reaching around 31–32°C. We used the air conditioning for a few minutes to bring the temperature down to a comfortable level, but we preferred not to sleep with the AC running throughout the night.
