We loved staying at Old Salem House! The hospitality was much appreciated - Various snacks and drinks were provided, as well as clean towels and washcloths. Kasey even provided a bar of soap and a small bottle of shampoo. It was nice to have a separate keypad lock on our individual room door; I felt very safe.
The common areas were kept nice and neat, and the seating was very comfortable. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable as well.
The location is nice - it really is only a 15 minute drive/Lyft ride to Salem. It is a very quiet place and the only thing you may hear is traffic. The people in the area seem very quiet.

We really enjoyed everything about Old Salem House! I didn't have a problem with anything, but others may be affected by the traffic noise (we stayed in the Wonderland room that was in the front of the house next to the road).
The only other heads up that I would give to others is that like many other houses in the area, the house is a little older and there is a lot of moisture because the water/canal is very close. Old Salem House is clean, but if you are sensitive to mold/mildew or anything else that grows in a high moisture environment, you'll need to take this into consideration.

Owner was friendly and accommodating, the house and rooms were well kept and nicely decorated. The bed was also very comfortable
Staying downstairs, I wasn't aware that was an option, or I would've requested not to because of my bad joints

It is a great location from Salem to drive or Uber. The theming was fun, we loved the snacks. The heating was great and the whole experience was great!
