Overall, this stay was disappointing and far from the relaxing experience we were hoping for.

The view

The host was pleasant and responsive prior to our arrival, which gave us hope for a smooth experience. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill once we arrived. The key collection process was confusing and frustrating. We were directed to a convenience store at the base of the building, only to be told they didn’t have the keys. We were then sent to another building that had no knowledge of our booking. After calling the owner, we had to return to the first store and be put on speakerphone with the clerk before finally receiving the keys. Upon entering the apartment, it was clear it hadn’t been properly cleaned or prepared. Cutlery and cups were left in the dish rack, food and drinks were still in the fridge and on the table—including a half-drunk bottle of orange juice. Towels were oddly placed, including on top of the toilet, and only one bedroom had what looked like a fresh towel. The rest were already hung up and appeared used. Bathrooms had half-used toiletries and even a pair of stained slippers at the entrance. There wasn’t enough bedding provided, and one of the doonas didn’t have a cover. The floors had crumbs in several areas, and overall, the apartment felt unkempt. Although the views were lovely, that was about the only redeeming feature. We didn’t feel comfortable contacting the host during our stay, and when we did afterward, they claimed the food and slippers were left for guests to use—though there were no notes or signs indicating this. Honestly, who would want to use half-opened juice or toothpaste? The fridge was so full of leftover items that we only had one shelf available for our own use. Also, the listing advertised a bath, but there were only two showers. Overall, this stay was disappointing and far from the relaxing experience we were hoping for.

Getting the key was difficult and prior information of carparking would have been good. There was a lot of the apartment owners food in the cupboard and fridge/ freezer. This was not a problem but a separate locked cupboard would be a good idea.
