This place was a happy surprise. This was a last minute booking, but turned out to be one of the nicest VRBO stays we have ever had. The host readied the place on very short notice. The house is spotless. The place is spacious. There were lots of little touches that made this place feel like home; socks if your feet are cold, a wood burning fireplace, a welcome basket, plenty of coffee and tea. This place is very remote, but that is what we wanted. Pure solitude on the top of a mountain. It's a 15 -20 minute drive to anywhere - longer to Ellijay, Blue Ridge or hiking, but the drives are calm and scenic. This place is great for a couple, two families or a large family with kids. The game room is an idea I've not yet seen in a vacation rental, but great fot kids - they can do their thing and you can sit on the back patio and read a book or enjoy a beverage. The wifi is great. The kitchen was WELL stocked for cooking. There is a great grill in back. Wifi was flawless. TV had everything you need in terms of APPs. One bit of advice - get the directions for your destination on your phone before you leave the house. Once you get down to the main road it is a few minutes before 5G finds you. Overall the coverage was fine outside on the roads, it is just one dead spot right after you leave the house. The neighbor has a horse named Big Red. He will come right to the fence if you call him. Cindy was easily accessible by by phone and was very responsive.

Everything was wonderful. The only negative was getting up the driveway. I would love to come back and spend a week there. We saw deer on our last day. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone.

The Nest was absolutely lovely! From the thoughtful welcome note and treats to enjoy, to the cozy and inviting decor, every detail made it feel like home.There was no shortage of fun things to do during our stay. We enjoyed air hockey, ping pong, corn hole, darts, and a great variety of board & card games. It’s the perfect setup for families or couples looking to relax & have fun together.The kitchen was one of the best stocked I’ve ever seen in a rental. It had everything needed to cook a gourmet meal. Theres an adorable tea kettle, a beautifully stocked coffee bar offered several coffee options, along with a nice selection of teas and sugars. The clean grill on the back patio made it easy to enjoy a meal outdoors as well.The home has three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms. The king bed was very comfortable, and the shower water was nice and hot with good pressure. The kitchen table seats six, and there’s also a patio table and two outdoor loveseats where you can sit back, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the rose bushes around the home.Communication with the host was excellent. She responded quickly to every question and even provided a helpful notebook filled with local recommendations for dining, shopping, and sightseeing.Overall, we truly felt like we were staying in a friend’s home. The care that went into decorating, organizing, and adding thoughtful touches made our visit so enjoyable. We would absolutely recommend The Nest to anyone visiting the area.
