Velmi příjemní majitelé, kteří nám i doporučili, kam se jít v okolí dobře najíst. Krásné prostory, pohodlné spaní. Moderně zrekonstruované zámecké prostory a velmi pěkně zařízené. Celkově moc příjemný pobyt.

Wonderful, friendly owners. We arrived late at night, and Mr. Frantisek was waiting for us. If you're looking for a unique place to stay, this is the place. The rooms are spacious and clean, with very comfortable beds. Guests also have access to a separate upstairs area where they can sit on sofas or at tables. A fridge with a good selection of wine at a good price is available; you can open it and settle the bill later with the owner. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was part buffet and part served upon request, delicious and varied. The location is very convenient for sightseeing, only 30 minutes from Cesky Krumlov or the surrounding area of Ceske Budejovice. Peaceful, pleasant, and stylish :) I recommend it.
This isn't a complaint about the property, just a suggestion to enter Ostrolov Castle in your navigation system. We entered the address and the navigation system led us to the buildings in the forest. But Mr. Frantisek directed us :)

Zámek Ostrolov is a beautifully and tastefully renovated historic property. The apartments are very nicely designed, combining modern comfort with the character of the old building.
We also really liked the cosy lobby area - unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to simply sit there and enjoy it for a while.
The owners were extremely kind and welcoming, and everything during our stay was excellent. Parking is conveniently available directly behind the property.
The location is fantastic if you want to explore South Bohemia. Hluboká nad Vltavou, Český Krumlov and Třeboň are all roughly within a 30-minute drive, making Ostrolov a great base for day trips.
Another big plus is the absolute peace and quiet at night. We would definitely recommend staying here.
There was nothing we particularly disliked, but there are a couple of things worth knowing before your stay.
Ostrolov itself is a small village with currently very limited services and facilities, so you will generally need to drive elsewhere.
Because of the extremely thick walls of the historic building, there was basically no mobile signal on the ground floor. Depending on what you are looking for, this can actually be either a disadvantage or a welcome bonus. Wi-Fi is available, although the signal also becomes weaker in some parts of the apartment.
None of this was a significant problem for us, but it is useful to know in advance.

Na Zámku Ostrolov se nám moc líbilo. Pokoje jsou krásné jako na fotografiích, vše je dokonalé čisté, vkusné a v pohodlných postelích se dobře spí. Doporučuji objednat si snídani, nejen že je výborná, ale připraví vám ji sami majitelé zámku, kteří jsou nesmírně milí a pohostinní. Pan František se o nás vzorně staral, doporučil nám místa, která máme navštívit a kam si zajít na večeři. Vzhledem ke krásné rekonstrukci, klidnému a malebnému okolí a nadstandartní péči majitelů je cena víc než příznivá tak neváhejte dlouho :)
